Well, to all you forum hags who complain about each and every weekend event: what the heck do YOU care for? It's not like you all even play GW...

To the rest of us, as usual, we play how we wanna play and if the event enhances our fun, cool, if not, no loss.

Sir Skull... you're gonna 'get lucky', right on... lol

Hyperbole aside, do you seriously think that people will think "OMG, thank you ArenaNet, I've always wanted to spend an entire weekend (plus several million gold) to get titles which have no effect other than to allow you to spend not as many milllions of gold?!
For completion sake....maybe.

Otherwise, not at all. It seems that Anet is running out of ideas for these weekends.

Golden profit ages for Faction Outpost Owners...

Buying lockpicks at their reduced price of 1.200g, selling them at 1.300g in LA and such... The competition, the competition...! Perhaps the prices will go down to 1.250g/each?

People have already spent millions of gold afk-ing the Lucky titles; to make them too easy to get with items would devalue the money those people spent. I like that we're getting more ways to earn points towards these titles, as I just can't bear to afk them during festivals.

Just like other weekend events, if it doesn't apply to you, it's not like ANet is forcing you to chest run this weekend...just play how you would play if *gasp* there were no special weekend, and stop complaining.

the advantage given by lucky title is already crappy. The difficulty in getting each level only adds to what's already a dumbass mechanic.

Yes. Just because YOU are not going for the title does not mean others wont. If it saves time/money then its a worthwhile event. Though the titles dont have that big of an event, they still count for Koabd/PKM and thats another reason people will go for it. I know quite a few people that are going for koabd/PKM just because they have finished the storyline and are bored of PvP. This is just another opportunity to help tackle a title or atleast a major part of that title.

Considering how many people I see spam for CR in ToA and areas like that, yes.

I'll say again Zinger. Don't complain about something that doesn't affect you at all.
There was once a time when a.net didn't have weekend events every weekend. The world got by fine then. Things didn't go straight to hell if a.net didn't provide you with a "weekend event."

Wake me up when they do another x2 fame weekend. Then I could finally get my account to Rank 3 (currently rank 1 with 54 fame).

Really? I see about 50 to 50.

It's time for me to tally numbers for real.

meh another "hmmm...weekend"

and that whole "they dont have to do it arguemnt" doesnt really hold much water. Mainly beacuse no weekend is better than a half-arsed weekend...but meh they've done some good weekends so there redemed....im rambling again arnt I?

I want to see a weekend where you get unlucky points for NOT haveing keys for a chest

nothing makes you think "dam thats unlucky" when you see a chest and realise you have no picks

Hehe at least i'll be able to get those 600 unlocky points i need for Unlucky

And do note that normal mode chests with let's say 600 gold hey costs have a base 40% to retain your lockpick, the lower the key cost the more you can retain.
So.... i wonder will anyone be running ascalonian or shing jea chests?

I didn't like the idea of the lockpick percentage being related to the lucky title in the first place...

this doesn't help.

"Now did I fire 5 or six shots? In all this excitement I forget. What you got to ask yourself is. Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya punk?"

should be a fun weekend.
